Testing of corrugated packaging and their components
Corrugated board packaging must fulfill various requirements in order to proof its capability to protect transported goods optimally – in the laboratory as well as in practice. The packaging shows its limits of resilience in shock, crush and stacking tests, which is of great use for producers, users and consumers.
wfp test stamp
Standard procedures such as edge crush resistance, burst strength and puncture resistance allow, for instance, to carry out classifications according to DIN 55 468. In our laboratories we can further perform tests within the scope of paper, corrugated board and package specification.
The wfp test stamp offers the customer the possibility to transfer certain specific technological values uniformly and clearly on the packaging, which was tested at the wfp Institut für Wellpappenforschung und -prüfung GmbH. The wfp test stamp for corrugated board packaging is assigned on customer request and after the packaging has been tested at wfp GmbH.
The wfp test stamp documents that the values specified in the test stamp have been achieved from the tested packaging and that this packaging is continuously controlled.
