A packaging will be mainly proven on its capability, to transport safety the packed good from A to B. It should be consider, what kind of transportation will be chosen and what kind of load the packaging must resist.
Further different weighted factors will also impact the packaging: stackability, protection against puncture, reusability.
A packaging is defined by the functional profile it has to fulfill.
A number of physical test methods for paper, corrugated board and corrugated board boxes exists, to prove of these profiles and to verify the packaging ability.
